This listing is for a vintage (late 1800s to early 1900s), named, Knights of Pythias Ceremonial Sword and Scabbard. The sword was manufactured (signed) by J.H. Ferd Hahn, Baltimore MD. The sword has the name ‘John Gray’ inscribed on the blade. The sword bears the ‘FCB’ (of the Knights of Pythias), which stands for ‘Friendship, Charity, & Benevolence’, on the cross guard. The chain that leads from the knight pommel to the cross guard has been broke off and there is only a portion of it remaining on the knight. The sword fits perfectly snugly in the scabbard; however the cross guard has a slight wobble when it is out of the scabbard. The sword has a very slight bent at the tip (see photo). Please view the photos of the EXACT items you are receiving and ask any questions PRIOR to purchase.
